Recently, with the successful completion of the final concrete pouring, the main structure of the administrative and logistics research building for the Shenzhen Bao'an Air-Sea Rescue Hospital, the nation's first comprehensive Grade III hospital specializing in air-sea rescue, has been capped off.

It is reported that the project is expected to have all tower structures capped off by the end of September this year and to be fully completed and put into use by 2025.

The Shenzhen Bao'an Air-Sea Rescue Hospital project is being constructed by the Construction and Engineering Administration of Bao'an District, Shenzhen, and is represented by China Resources (Shenzhen) Co., Ltd.

The construction is undertaken by China Construction Eighth Engineering Division Corp., Ltd. and China Construction Southern Investment Co., Ltd.

The project occupies a total area of approximately 50,000 square meters, with a total construction area of around 200,000 square meters and a maximum building height of 63.55 meters, including two underground levels.

The project is planned with an airport medical emergency center, a main medical area, and a teaching, research, and training area. It focuses on the development of emergency medicine, trauma medicine, aviation medicine, and maritime medicine.

It also aims to explore new mechanisms for emergency medical rescue in cooperation with Hong Kong and Macau, and establish an emergency medical treatment center for the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macau Greater Bay Area.

With a planned capacity of 800 beds, it will serve the Bao'an District, provide medical services to Shenzhen, and radiate the Greater Bay Area, aiming to build a world-class, three-dimensional emergency rescue system.

According to the positioning and characteristics of the Air-Sea Rescue Hospital, a mode of civil-military integration operation is adopted. The hospital establishes an emergency rescue system, including an emergency department, a day surgery center (including day wards), a central operating room, and an intensive care unit (ICU), with a total area of approximately 20,000 square meters.

Under normal circumstances, the airport medical emergency center ensures the daily operation of Bao'an Airport, while the Air-Sea Rescue Hospital serves the surrounding community as a comprehensive hospital.

The emergency department, covering an area of about 13,000 square meters, operates independently as a regular part of the hospital, equipped with 15 rescue beds, 15 emergency ICU beds, and 2 emergency operating rooms.
